A Wedding Styled Shoot at Queensland Ranch in Anthony, New Mexico
As an El Paso photographer, I get to document so many beautiful love stories. One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to collaborate with other talented wedding vendors and create something beautiful together.
Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding styled shoot at Queensland Ranch in Anthony, New Mexico, just outside the El Paso area. Planned and organized by Kaitlyn Berry Photo, this styled shoot brought together three couples, three unique setups, and so much inspiration for couples dreaming up their own wedding day. Each station had its own personality, from warm colors and romantic table details to an open ranch field and dreamy portraits beneath a willow tree.
Styled shoots are such a fun way to explore new creative ideas, connect with other wedding professionals, and give couples inspiration for what their own wedding could look like. As a photographer, I love being able to experiment with different settings and capture the little in-between moments that make each love story feel unique.

Queensland Ranch: A Private Wedding Venue Near El Paso
Queensland Ranch was the perfect setting for this wedding styled shoot. Located in Anthony, New Mexico, this private seven-acre luxury estate offers a beautiful backdrop for couples looking for a wedding venue near El Paso.
One of the things that stood out to me was the variety of scenery throughout the property. Between the estate’s architecture, the open land, and the gorgeous willow tree, there were so many different places to create portraits. For wedding photography, having a variety of backdrops in one location can make such a difference. It allows couples to have a gallery that feels diverse while keeping the experience relaxed and convenient.
Queensland Ranch is also a family-run venue, which adds a personal touch to the experience. For couples planning a wedding in the El Paso and southern New Mexico area, it is a venue worth exploring if you are drawn to an estate setting with room to bring your wedding vision to life.

Real Newlyweds, Real Love Stories
Although this was a styled wedding shoot, one of my favorite details was that all three couples were recently married. Instead of photographing models pretending to be newlyweds, we got to work with couples who had already started their lives together. Even in a styled setting, the little interactions, shared glances, and natural affection between two people can make the photographs feel personal and meaningful.
As a wedding photographer, I always want my images to feel like more than just pretty photographs. I want couples to look back at their gallery and remember how a moment felt, whether that means laughing together, holding each other close, or simply taking a second to enjoy being together.
That is one of the reasons I love photographing weddings and couples throughout El Paso and the surrounding New Mexico area. Every couple has a different dynamic, and I love finding ways to capture that instead of making every session look the same.
With three couples and three completely different setups at Queensland Ranch, this shoot was full of opportunities to get creative while keeping the focus on the people in front of my camera.

Anna & Erik’s Romantic Fall Wedding Table Setup
The first setup featured Anna and Erik in a beautiful fall-inspired scene filled with warm colors and romantic details. The styling complemented the ranch’s natural surroundings, creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere that felt perfect for an autumn wedding.
A floral-covered table brought color and texture into the setup, adding a statement detail that immediately drew the eye. Paired with the ranch’s architecture and surrounding trees, the scene felt elegant. I loved having the opportunity to photograph Anna and Erik throughout the property. We captured portraits near the trees as well as images that incorporated the estate’s architecture, giving their gallery a mix of intimate moments and wider photographs.

Jazmine & Chris, a Ranch Wedding, and a Special Guest
The second setup brought us out into the open field at Queensland Ranch, where Jazmine and Chris were joined by a very special guest: Chex the horse!
Chex added such a fun, unexpected element to the shoot and brought even more of that country wedding feel into the photographs.
For couples who love the outdoors, rustic details, or the idea of a ranch wedding near El Paso, this setup offered so much inspiration. A wide-open landscape can create beautiful variety in a wedding gallery, from photographs that show off the scenery to closer portraits that keep the focus on the couple. It was also a reminder that wedding photography does not have to follow one particular look. Your photographs can be romantic, playful, candid, or a combination of all those things.

Sheila & Tyler Beneath the Willow Tree
The third and final setup took place beneath one of my favorite features of Queensland Ranch: its gorgeous willow tree.
Sheila and Tyler had gotten married just three months before the shoot, and Sheila wore her actual wedding dress for their portraits. I thought that detail made the experience even more meaningful. Rather than simply creating the look of a wedding day, they had the opportunity to step back into those wedding-day feelings and celebrate this new chapter together.
The willow tree created such a romantic backdrop. Its sweeping branches added natural movement and texture to the photographs, giving the portraits a dreamy atmosphere. This setup was a great example of how much a location can contribute to the overall feeling of an image.
These portraits beneath the willow tree were such a beautiful way to close out the three setups at Queensland Ranch. It also reminded me how valuable it can be to make time for portraits on your wedding day. Wedding days often move quickly. Setting aside time to slow down and be together can create some of the most meaningful photographs from the entire day.

Wedding Dresses by Desert Gowns
Of course, a styled wedding shoot would not be complete without the beautiful dresses that helped bring the vision to life. Desert Gowns provided the wedding dresses for the shoot, and Anna and Jazmine wore gowns from their collection. Each dress added its own personality to the overall styling and complemented the different scenes throughout the ranch.
A wedding dress can influence the entire feel of a photograph, from the way it moves in the wind to the details that stand out in a close-up portrait.
But beyond how a dress photographs, I think one of the most important things is how a bride feels wearing it. Your wedding day is personal, and your dress should feel like a reflection of you.
If you are still searching for your wedding dress, you can find Desert Gowns on Instagram to explore their work and collection.

A Little Film Photography Magic
Alongside digital photography, I also brought my film camera along for this shoot, and I loved how much it added to the overall feel of the images. There is something so special about film photography, especially for weddings. The soft tones, natural grain, and nostalgic feel give photographs a completely different kind of life.
With the warm fall colors, golden light, and dreamy setting at Queensland Ranch, shooting film felt like the perfect fit. I loved the way it captured the atmosphere of the day in a way that felt timeless, almost like stepping back into a memory.
Film photography has a way of making the little moments feel even more sentimental, and I love being able to offer couples something a little different from traditional digital images. It is not about replacing digital photography, but about adding another layer to your wedding gallery that feels artistic, nostalgic, and full of character.
If you’re planning your wedding and love that nostalgic film look, film photography is also available as an add-on with me, JasminCPhoto. It’s a beautiful way to incorporate a little extra nostalgia into your gallery and have photographs that feel like keepsakes.
